MTA SAFEGUARDING CODES OF PRACTICE

The MTA Codes of Practice identify and describe methods of safeguarding machine tool types as far as is reasonably practicable, in order to render them safe without risk to health when operated correctly. These codes supplement BS5304 - 'Code of Practice; Safeguarding of Machinery' and give guidance on good practice in design and use. The codes have been prepared in association with a range of manufacturing companies and AMTRI. The codes are in the process of being updated in line with European Harmonised Standards.
Please contact the MTA's Technical Department mailto:rgriffiths@mta.org.uk?Subject=Codes of Practicefor availability of the updated codes, or their consultation drafts*.
