MTA AGM, Forcasting Seminar and Annual Lunch 2007

For the first time we  decided to combine the AGM and the Annual Lunch with the MTA's Forecast for 2008 in one, added value, day. It took place on 11 October at the National Exhibition Centre Birmingham.

Geoff Lloyd, Managing Director of Heller Machine Tools Ltd, was re-elected for a second term as the MTA's President.

The Forecast seminar was presented by MTA Statistician Geoff Noon and his very distinguished team from Oxford Economics, Chairman John Walker and Director of Economics, Erik Brittan. Together they presented a targeted forecast for our members and providing them with an overview of the world economy and key trends for the industrial sectors, which are important to suppliers of manufacturing technology, and the latest UK forecasts for the machine tool sector.

At our Annual Lunch  following the Forecast we were pleased to welcome as our Guest of Honour and key note speaker, Paul Thandi, Chief Executive of the NEC Group.
