BGA EVENT - Condition Monitoring seminar
Start date : 29th September 2010 10.00am - 4.30pm (with refreshment breaks)
Venue : Bretby Conference Centre, Burton on Trent, DE15 0YZ
The main objective of the course is to provide engineers who are new to vibration monitoring techniques with a fundamental understanding of the essential pre-requisite knowledge required to undertake vibration monitoring and diagnosis of gearboxes.
Event type : Seminar
The course begins with the presentation of the basic principles and measurement methods of vibration. Such fundamental knowledge includes fault frequency calculations, data acquisition theory, signal processing specific to machine health diagnosis (cepstrum analysis, side bands, enveloping, Fourier transforms, filters, etc) and sensor location and attachment.
All material presented will be aimed at the application of vibration monitoring and diagnosis to faults associated with gears, rolling element and hydrodynamic bearings.
Tutor: Mr David Mba, Cranfield University
