This year's seminar focuses in on an area of strategic importance to the country and where billions of pounds will be spent in the next 50 years. It is also an area which will lead to huge business opportunities for those in manufacturing technologies.

The MTA will be attending JIMTOF 2008 and will host a small stand at the event which is the Japanese showcase of machine tools and associated equipment. Whilst there we'll be representing the interests of the British manufacturing technologies industry and more specifically the products of our members.

The MTA will be holding a reception in the Members Dining Room of the House of Commons on Wednesday 12 November at 4pm. Join our host Stephen O’Brien MP and invited guests including your local member of parliament and other MPs who have taken an interest in manufacturing. This special event is open to all members and their customers and potential members of the Association.

This event is essential for any member company wishing to ensure they are prepared for the coming year and will try give members some insight into how the current economic rollercoaster might affect the engineering based manufacturing/machine tool market in 2009.
