Places are filling up fast for the MTA/AMRC Future Manufacturing Seminar on 8 February in Sheffield. Over one hundred delegates have already registered for the Seminar that will include a presentation by Gareth Williams, VP – Research & Technology, Business Development and Partnerships at Airbus. So book your place before the event fills up. Full details and a link to the downloadable booking form are contained in this week’s Friday Brief and on the MTA website.
Also approaching capacity is the MTA Annual Dinner kindly supported by Lloyds TSB Commercial. There are only a few tables left for what promises to be a terrific evening with Sky News’s Charlotte Hawkins confirmed as host. She will compere the 2013 Manufacturing Industry Awards, the 11 February entry deadline for which is fast approaching. So if you want to gain valuable publicity for your company, customers or partners then click on the downloadable entry form in the Friday Brief story.
The economic data this week is mixed with the UK Fourth Quarter GDP figures and European Industrial Output figures for November 2012 just released.
Elsewhere, we have news of international engineering exhibitions in 2013 for which the UKTI will provide support for UK companies wishing to exhibit. Other Friday Brief news items highlight a pollution prevention seminar presented by the Environmental Agency and an Emerging Manufacturing Techniques for Metallic Structures seminar organised by the IMECHE.
Have a good weekend.
