Good Morning and welcome to the last Friday Brief of February.
The months are flying by at a rate of knots and there has been plenty of manufacturing news over the past week.
Firstly, we are very pleased to announce that Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking is to be the headline sponsor of the largest event of its kind in the UK – MACH 2016. James Selka, CEO at the MTA, said: “We look forward to welcoming Lloyds Bank back for their third year of sponsorship – proving expert insight into important business issues.”
Also this week saw the MTA, in the person of Vice President Guy Mollart, represented at a meeting between British Ministers, Officials and industrialists and the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, who was joined by leading figures from his country. The occasion marked the signing of several Memorandums including one between the MTA and the Engineering Union of Kazakhstan.
FEIMAFE the International Machine Tools and Integrated Manufacturing Systems Trade Fair will take place between 18 – 23 May 2015 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The MTA are pleased to advise that UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) have agreed to subsidise UK companies choosing to exhibit at Feimafe. Renishaw plc has been announced as Headline sponsors for Lamdamap 2015. We’re very pleased to welcome another new member to the MTA, Sponmech Safety Systems of Halesowen in the West Midlands have joined this week.
In Economic News, the results of 3 sets of surveys, one for the UK and two from Europe have been published CBI Industrial Trends Survey, CECIMO Toolbox and CELIMO Trends Survey, 4th Quarter 2014. They all generally contain positive news with which to bring February to a close.
