Unfortunately we have to repeat our warning of several months ago about false, fraudulent, invoices circulating in relation to MACH 2016. If you are in any doubt at all please contact the MTA immediately, please call 020 7298 6400 or email Nicola Harrison at nharrison@mta.org.uk.
The CBI have provided us with some briefing notes about the ongoing crisis in Greece to share with our membership, you can find full details within the Brief.

We have also started to examine the effect that Intellectual Property (whether management, protection or valuation) has on our membership and we would like to gage your opinion on this matter. We would ask that any members who are interested in helping us to contact Tom Lane (tlane@mta.org.uk) or Paul O’Donnell (podonnell@mta.org.uk), so we can start to develop a tangible members benefit.

If you are a business based in Leeds City Region (more or less West Yorkshire) and want to develop the skills and expertise of your workforce Leeds City Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Skills Service can help by offering funding of up to £50,000. Details on eligibility are in the story.

And finally CECIMO have published there first Guidelines for CE marking of electro-discharge machines to download the full report please follow the link http://www.cecimo.eu/site/publications/news/?tx_ttnews%5Btt_news%5D=259&....

Leading 3D Printing Company Stratasys to Exhibit

The wide spread adoption of 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing has been one of the biggest revolutions in modern manufacturing technologies in the past decade, streamlining how prototypes are made and small batch manufacturing is carried out.
With this in mind MACH 2016 is pleased to announce that next year’s exhibition will feature a dedicated 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Zone, showcasing all the latest advances in this technology.

MTA Golf Day

MTA Golf Day

The MTA organised the annual Inter-Association Golf Day which took place at the Leicestershire Golf Club this past Wednesday 15th July 2015. Now in its 59th year the event is a staple of the MTA calendar and always a hotly contested event bringing together trade associations from across the manufacturing and engineering landscape.

The results of the day saw Graham Brittain take home the Raistick Trophy, the MTA team won both the MACH Trophy and Kyal Trophy. And the Rose Bowl was taken home by EAMTM.
