The MTA’s 2013 Manufacturing Industry Awards are now open, but act now as the deadline for receipt of entries is 11 January.
The Awards will highlight and celebrate achievements and innovation from across the field of engineering based manufacturing. Entries will fall into the following Categories: Young Engineer of the Year; Best Training Scheme; Best Supplier Partnership and the Most Dynamic Sub-Contractor. Shortlisted entries will be judged by the sector through an on-line voting system, open to receive votes from practitioners in the manufacturing community.
As in previous years there will also be a special scholarship awarded, namely the AMTRI Scholarship. The fund behind the Scholarship is intended to promote excellence in machinery development and engineering manufacturing. The scholarship, which is open to professional and graduate engineers, aims to encourage co-operation between industry and higher education.
The 2013 Awards will be delivered in collaboration with the MACH headline sponsor Lloyds Banking Group Commercial.
Entries are now being accepted for the Award categories and will remain open until 11 January 2013. The category shortlists will be published at the end of January ready for on-line voting. Further details of the Awards and how to apply can be obtained from the awards website www.mtaawards.com
