FEIMAFE: International Machine Tools and Integrated Manufacturing Systems Trade Fair

Brazil is the 5th largest country in the world, with a population of approximately 190 million and is the world’s sixth largest economy. The UK has a strong and historic trading relationship with Brazil and is the UK’s largest trading partner in Latin America with a bilateral trade in goods worth £5.1 billion. The Brazilian Aerospace Industry is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. Opportunities include supply chain and partnerships, automation technology, composites and metallic structures and connectivity. Brazil is the seventh largest producer of vehicles in the world. Main opportunities include low carbon technologies, engineering services, such as software and consultancy, lightweight components and advanced materials. There are also opportunities in Sports Infrastructure (the 2016 Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games), Marine, Airports, Rail and Ports. Brazil is part of the Mercosur trading bloc which encompasses Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Venezuela which has tariff-free trade between it member states. Brazil is one of the four countries that make up the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) economies.

TheMTA are pleased to advise that UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) have agreed to subsidise UK companies choosing to exhibit at Feimafe.

Eligible UK companies will qualify for a £2,500 grant. Companies will also qualify if they are already trading in Brazil or have a distributor, agent or even an office in the region as long as the UK company has paid £2,500 towards the eligible costs for the show which would include space, construction, furniture, graphics, or even freight which would have to go out to the market at this time.
