The latest OEM to take exhibition space in the UK Manufacturing Zone at MACH 2014 is the aircraft undercarriage and brake system manufacturer Messier-Bugatti-Dowty.
Chris Wilson, Managing Director, Messier-Bugatti-Dowty, UK says:
"Messier-Bugatti-Dowty is extremely pleased to be participating in MACH 2014. Our market leading position relies very much on our drive to utilise the very latest in advanced manufacturing techniques and processes, plus new technologies and materials.
We will be exhibiting examples from our latest aircraft programmes, including the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 main landing gears. Production of these large complex components utilises the very latest in advanced titanium machining for which we have developed a centre of excellence here in the UK.
Likewise, we collaborate extensively with our supplier base and MACH is very much a key forum for the wider manufacturing supply chain community, a vital element in the mix for a growing aerospace industry.
Aerospace is one of the key areas of the UK's advanced manufacturing sector. The next generation of aircraft will feature substantially different products and technologies from those used today and Messier-Bugatti-Dowty acknowledges the key role advanced manufacturing techniques will play in the future development of the industry."
