MTA Member Sandvik Coromant has re-inforced its commitment to student engineers by announcing that it will be the principal sponsor of the MACH 2014 Education & Training Zone.
The MACH Education and Training Zone is dedicated to student visitors interested in engineering-based manufacture and associated technologies. The Zone is used as a focal point to engage with the education sector as well as providing an interesting visitor attraction in its own right. Using the Zone, the MTA aims to inspire, prepare and motivate the next generation of British engineers through a rewarding experience within the MACH show.
Kim Olander, Senior Manager – Marketing, at Sandvik Coromant comments: “The continued advancement of industry knowledge and education has always been part of the Sandvik Coromant mission. Sponsorship of the MACH 2014 Education & Training Zone further demonstrates our support for student engineers and our commitment to addressing the skills gap that manufacturing industry is facing.”
Graham Dewhurst, Director General of MTA, added: “It's great news that Sandvik Coromant is supporting the Education & Training Zone in this way. Attracting young people into careers in engineering based manufacturing is really important to the future of our industry. An exhibition like MACH provides a wonderful opportunity to bring the technology to life. Sandvik Coromant’s support will enable us to do justice to that technology and help the students who visit to understand what is possible.”
