Euspen’s Special Interest Group meeting entitled Thermal Issues will be held at the Novotel Zurich City-West Hotel, Switzerland
19th- 20th March 2014. The final Programme has been structured to provide an excellent opportunity to engage with expertise, to create stimulating discussions and to network with professionals from industry and academia.
Euspen is delighted to confirm two keynotes for this exciting meeting: Prof Paul Shore, Cranfield - Loxham Precision Ltd, UK who will present, “Thermal Issues, Past and Present” and Dr Robin Underwood, NPL, UK with his presentation, “The Boltzmann Constant: Accurate Measurements for the New Kelvin.”
Oral presentations from the sessions ‘Thermal Error Reduction in Metrology & Control for Semi-Conductors’, ‘Thermal Control on Machine Tools’ and ‘Thermal Error Compensation’ will provide a stimulating forum to engage in developments where thermal effects are regarded as a major contributor to errors on machine tools, on measuring equipment and on workpieces.
Registration for this event should be made online. The evening networking dinner on Wednesday19th March and a tour of IWF of ETH laboratory on Thursday 20th March 2014 is also included in the fee.
