Trade openings in Emerging Europe

Emerging Europe is currently a hot spot for investment in energy infrastructure. This growing market comprising Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia is making significant investment in new power generation capacities (nuclear, gas-fired, renewables), in electricity and gas transmission grids and in low carbon projects.

Countries around the region need to replace their obsolete plants in order to cope with increasing energy demands and comply with EU environmental standards. Moreover, in the context of new political developments in Europe, Emerging Europe states are keen to strengthen their energy security and sustainability support systems, thus heavily investing in new power capacities. The markets are low-risk, close to home and all offer considerable long-term growth potential for UK businesses.

In order to support the members of your association to tap into this potential, Emerging Europe UKTI Energy team is arranging an all-energy webinar covering top opportunities across the region, with a focus on oil, gas and nuclear. The webinar is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 12 June 2014, at 10:00 am UK time and will be delivered by sector professionals.

The webinar will also have details of the GREAT Emerging Europe Energy Summit taking place 22-23 October 2014 in Prague.
