Surface Engineering and Applied Nanotechnology only a few weeks away

The MTA and Cranfield University are teaming up again in 2017 to host an open conference to discuss a range of technology related issues, including future strategies and opportunities in development and collaboration, for the surface engineering industry and nanotechnology companies in the UK. In previous joint events, the conference has been attended by over 150 registered delegates and the quality of the event has been impressive with speakers from companies such as Siemens, Rolls-Royce, General Electric, BP, and AWE which have given this event an excellent reputation.

The Surface Engineering and Nanotechnology Institute (SENTi) at Cranfield focuses on the application of coating solutions and nanotechnology in the aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, biomedical and mining sectors. The Institute has been at the forefront of materials development which can be made lighter, stronger, more sustainable, and smarter and it has played an important role in the development of some commercial products that rely on nanoscale materials and processes. Indeed Cranfield University was the first University in the UK to offer an MSc nanotechnology course almost 20 years ago.

Both, MTA and Cranfield University are pleased to welcome you to this third conference of this series which will be held on March 31st, 2017 at the main Cranfield University campus. This conference will be chaired by Professor Jose L. Endrino and Dr. Zhaorong Huang and it is intended for UK and international innovators from the supply-chain as well as end-users in the field of surface coating and nanotechnology. Members from academia currently dealing with advanced coating materials and nanotechnology are also welcome to attend. This important event will precede the next European Conference in Nanofilms which will be hosted at Cranfield in 2018.
