The Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) is delighted to announce that Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking is to be the headline sponsor of Britain’s biggest manufacturing technologies exhibition, MACH 2014. The sponsorship underscores the long term relationship between Lloyds Bank and the MTA, organisers of the MACH Exhibition.
The Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) is pleased to announce that the latest company to exhibit at MACH 2014 will be Rolls-Royce. The integrated power solutions provider for the civil and defence aerospace, marine and energy markets will be taking space in the Exhibition’s UK Manufacturing Zone, joining other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) including Airbus and Messier-Bugatti-Dowty.
The future of Britain's engineering based manufacturing looks bright if the quality of the finalists at this year’s TDI Challenge was anything to go by. The annual awards, organised by the Manufacturing Technologies Association, recognise the very best engineering projects produced by Britain’s 14-19 year olds.
The final judging was held at the Worcester factory and technology centre of machine tool manufacturer Yamazaki Mazak and saw young people drawn from across the UK, from Scotland to the South West, exhibit and present their projects to a panel of leading industrialists.
EMO Hannover 2013 – International machine tool market headed for a new record

The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) on manufacturing for the first quarter show the Capital Goods sector was 1.9% ahead of the level it reached at the end of the first quarter of 2012. The output figures confirm the trend identified in the recent MTA Business Survey which showed Britain’s engineering based manufacturing companies investing in machine tools and related equipment at a faster pace than for most of 2012.

MACH 2014 sales 25% up
With a year to the opening of MACH 2014, the UK’s premier event for manufacturing technologies, exhibition sales are 25% up on MACH 2012 at the same point.
