£1 trillion export challenge - DIT

The Department for International Trade has published a new Export Strategy, updating the 2018 version.

It includes promise of improved support for SMEs, a new Tradeshow Programme, and sets an ambitious target of increasing exports to £1 trillion by 2030.  But in their forewords, the Prime Minister warns that the UK has to learn how to use Free Trade Agreements properly, and the Secretary of State, Anne-Marie Trevelyan, warns that both government and business need to change their mindset.

Jack Semple, Secretary of EAMA, has provided some highlights and commentary on the Strategy and you can read these in the attached document.
