We have received details from the AMRC of two webinars that are coming up.

Cross-sector supply chain collaboration - Building on the Ventilator Challenge (webinar):  This is being held on Tuesday 20th October 2020 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.  The webinar will explore how the Ventilator Challenge accelerated innovation in unprecedented ways, demonstrating how supply chains from various sectors can work together more effectively and respond rapidly to changing customer demand.

This webinar is being hosted by BSI in collaboration with High Value Manufacturing Catapult and it will look at the lessons we can learn from how the Ventilator Challenge enabled automotive and aerospace manufacturers to quickly produce medical devices; and what it could mean for future flexible supply chains.

The event will feature speakers from HVM Catapult and from the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, University of Sheffield.  The webinar will be useful to manufacturers, particularly those in the Aerospace, Automotive, Medical devices, Digital, Pharmaceuticals and Food industries.

Participants will gain a better understanding of the culture that encourages stronger cross-sector collaboration and supply chain innovation between manufacturers and partners.  You can get more information, including details of the agenda, and register for this webinar at

Sustainable manufacturing - skills and technology for low impact manufacturing:  This is being held on Wednesday 21st October 2020 at 1:00pm.  UK manufacturers are facing unprecedented pressure to change to more sustainable methods of manufacturing.  As UK government pursues net zero carbon by 2050 and responsibility for waste begins to move from consumer to supplier, legislation is rapidly changing to meet the expectations of an increasingly aware global population.

The webinar will hear from Andy Bell, Design Strategy Manager at the AMRC, on what the approaches are to achieving sustainable manufacturing approaches and how these will help businesses become more effective and resilient in the face of net zero.  You can book your place at this webinar at
