Proposal: Systems and software engineering — Software product quality Requirements and Evaluation (SQuaRE) — Common Industry Format (CIF) for Usability: Specification of human-system interaction design.

Please visit ISO/PWI 25067
Comment period end date: 20/10/2023

Scope

This document provides a framework and consistent terminology for specifying human-system interaction in terms of conceptual design, user-system interaction design, and user interface design. A human-system interaction design specification aids the development and evaluation of usable interactive systems.

This document is applicable to all kinds of interactive systems, i.e. combinations of hardware and/or software and/or services and/or people that users interact with in order to achieve specific goals. This document is intended to be used by those specifying and designing interactive systems, including user experience professionals, software architects and engineers, business analysts, product managers, and product owners.

This document does not prescribe any kind of method, lifecycle or process. The specification of humansystem interaction can be used in iterative development, which includes the elaboration and evolution of requirements (e.g. as in agile development)

The specification of human-system interaction is part of system documentation resulting from the human-centred design activities specified in ISO 9241-210 and the human-centred design processes in ISO 9241-220. The content elements are consistent with the design guidance provided in ISO 9241- 115.

ISO/IEC/IEEE 12207 and ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 refer to ISO 9241-210 and ISO 9241-220 for information on human-centred design and usability.

Purpose

The proposed work item in anticipated in ISO 25060 and is needed to complete the set of Common Industry Formats for Usability in the 2506x series of standards.

Proposal: Information security — Fully homomorphic encryption — Part 4: CGGI variants
Please visit ISO/IEC NP 28033-4
Comment period end date: 21/10/2023

Scope

This document specifies homomorphic encryption mechanisms for the evaluation of arbitrary functions, such as the mechanisms based on CGGI (Chillotti-Gama-Georgieva-Izabachene) and its variants. This document also specifies parameter selection for various security levels.

Purpose

This is a proposal to change the development of the current draft on ISO/IEC 18033-8 into a new multipart standard. The discussion for the proposal was initiated at the SC 27/WG 2 meeting on ISO/IEC 18033-8 held April 19, 2023, to address the complexity and length of the current single document, support the mature content to progress more efficiently, and allow more time to consider areas that need further discussion. At the SC 27/WG 2 meeting on ISO/IEC 18033-8 held May 17, 2023, it was agreed to cancel the current ISO/IEC 18033-8 project and initiate a new multipart standard based on the 3rd WD ISO/IEC 18033-8.

Scope

This document specifies mechanisms based on BGV (Brakersky-Gentry-Vaikuntanathan) and BFV (Brakerski and Fan-Vercauteren). This document also specifies parameter selection for various security levels.
