DEPARTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL TRADE (DIT) ENCOURAGES MORE EXPORTS BY REVISING GRANT FUNDING ELIGIBILITY FOR UK EXHIBITORS AT TRADE SHOWS

Sponsors Alliance (who represent 40 trade associations promoting overseas trade) have lobbied Government to assist more companies to expand their worldwide operations.

The new simplified criteria is that a company is an SME, wishes to grow their exports beyond the EU or in up to six markets, and have not yet already received more than six grants.

This brings into line Government Policy on assisting to increase UK exports for both new and experienced exporters.

The MTA and EIA have a DIT sponsored programme of events in the Middle East, Russia, SE Asia and Europe. Even more businesses will now be able to qualify for the funding which can be up to £2,500 in some markets.
