This week the MTA hosted our first Engineering Digital Mash-up event at Yamazaki Mazak’s European headquarters in Worcester. The event was organised in partnership with Stirling Media and the Worcestershire LEP, with support from Autodesk and the Manufacturing Technology Centre.
The day was aimed at SMEs looking to adopt digital technologies. Updates were given on the Midlands Digital Engine, the Worcestershire 5G Testbed and how SME's can get support on their digital journey.
The morning session featured keynote presentation on how digital technology is impacting on manufacturing and a panel discussion to find out how this applies to the SME market.
In the afternoon delegates took the opportunity to take part in tailored breakout sessions looking at a variety of topics which could help improve their businesses. These included data analytics, social media and sales tools for manufacturers, digital readiness and Worcestershire LEP on the county’s new Local Industrial Strategy.
MTA’s Head of Events James Fudge said of the event “We’re really pleased with the Engineering Digital Mash-up event. It was a great opportunity to get SME’s thinking about their digital journey and how technology can transform their business.”
