Due to the pandemic the London Play charity weren’t able to run their usual large event, so instead they worked with children in ‘bubbles’ at three playgrounds ensuring a fair geographical spread across London; Arc in the Park - Newham, Pearson Street Adventure Playground - Hackney and Waterloo Living Space - Southwark. We were so pleased to be This meant that they were able to bring go kart building and racing direct to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children in these challenging times. They all had so much needed fun and learnt a whole range of building skills. All the go karts made were donated to the three playgrounds for more children to enjoy and race.
As we have done in previous years, MTA supported this event and you can read more about how this year’s event was arranged despite the restrictions imposed by the need to be Covid-secure on their blog at https://www.londonplay.org.uk/blog_entry/3715/news/london_play_press_releases/london_play_press_releases/abbey_aliens_triumph_together_akart.
