MACH 2020 is less than 100 days away and the UK’s national manufacturing and engineering exhibition is gearing up to be an excellent event.
MACH, as well as being the place to come and source manufacturing technology equipment and solutions, also has a section of the show dedicated to Education and Development. It is essential that manufacturers help the next generation understand the important role engineering plays in shaping the world around us.
Over the last two exhibitions (2016 and 2018) over 5000 students have attended the show and found out first-hand of the wonders of modern manufacturing. Students the length and breadth of the UK have come and had guided tours of the exhibition and taken part in ‘hands on’ activities.
Mike Falconer, Education and Development Manager, said “The Education and Development Zone at MACH is really taking shape, we have some wonderful features prepared to bring the world of manufacturing alive for students.”
He continued “We know the value of reaching out to the next generation and introducing them to the exciting world of advanced engineering. Any exhibitors who wish to invite schools or collages from their region to the show should get in touch with the MTA so we can help coordinate the visit.”
