Like all metalworking fluids, Bioconcept Fluids will need regular maintenance to ensure optimum conditions in order to be effective in use and avoid any harmful effects for operators. Although these types of fluids will not require regular dip slide testing or the addition of biocides, they will still require monitoring to ensure optimum conditions including close monitoring of pH levels and working concentration, to ensure they stay within the manufacturer’s tolerances.

When bacteria have been growing in any water based metalworking fluid, some will release endotoxins which may act as a contributory factor in the development, or aggravation, of respiratory ill-health. It is therefore important that exposure to both the mist and fluid is kept to a minimum using appropriate control measures, including local exhaust ventilation on computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines.
