Two weeks ago we highlighted revised guidance from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) on the use of metal working fluids – see https://www.mta.org.uk/resources/revised-guidance-metalworking-fluids.
We now have details of a webinar being organised by the Chemical Hazards Communications Society (CHCS), the United Kingdom Lubricant Association (UKLA) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) which will improve your ability to manage the health hazards from these fluids. This is being held on Thursday 8th October from 1330 to 1415.
The webinar is aimed at health and safety managers, factory managers and engineers and will include:
- A case study of an HSE investigation
- A summary of the requirements for protecting the health of workers
- An outline of the updated good practice guidance recently published by UKLA and HSE
- A summary of the testing which must be performed on metalworking fluids, to maintain its quality and prevent risks to health
- Q&A session
