This week has seen Turkey’s largest Manufacturing Technologies Exhibition, MAKTEK Eurasia, underway in Istanbul. The event occupies the whole of the 120,000 sqm Tuyap complex and has something like 1000 exhibitors from Machine Tool Manufacturers and Tooling companies through to companies applying the technology in Turkey and beyond.
The MTA is co-hosting, along with UKTI, the Engineering Industries Association and trade fair organisation company INtec, a UK Pavilion at the Exhibition. Eight UK companies, including MTA members; Addison McKee, SGS Carbide, Allied Maxcut and Machineworks, are taking part in the Pavilion and there are other UK companies, such as Renishaw and Delcam, exhibiting in their own right or through Turkish dealers and resellers. The UK’s manufacturing media sector is represented too, with Machinery Market and Machinery Trade International having stands.
Though quieter early in the week, the exhibition is getting busier and busier as the week wears on into the weekend, with Saturday expected to be the peak day.
Andy Worthington of Addison Mckee said:
“We’re hoping to expand our already wide ranging customer base in Turkey and create new opportunities. The Show has given us both new leads and a chance to maintain contact with existing partners and potential partners. It’s great that we have been able to exhibit as part of a UK Pavilion which really helps us to stand out.”
If you’re at the Exhibition today or over the weekend come and drop in on us at Stand 1446 in Hall 14.
