The Engineering Industries Association is an organisation with over 80 years’ experience in promoting trade and representing the interests and aspirations of the UK engineering manufacturing sector, particularly SME’s.

Now sitting as part of the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) family, our offering to members has been strengthened and as technology develops, working together, we will build a community of manufacturing and engineering excellence for our sector.

Additive Manufacturing UK

Additive Manufacturing (AM), often referred to as 3D Printing, is a truly transformational cross-sectoral technology that is having a disruptive impact on design, manufacturing, company location and business models. AM-UK is the UK’s trade association for companies who develop, create or sell the technology, materials or services which form the AM capability chain.

AM-UK is run in partnership with the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA), and is positioned to help drive the development and adoption of AM technology in the UK.

Additive Manufacturing will revolutionise businesses globally by providing a radically new method of production, enabling new and better designs to be realised at lower cost with enhanced productivity and greater sustainability. AM will also transform supply chains and the way businesses operate. The UK is a world leader in Additive Manufacturing capability and AM UK have been at the forefront of the development and adoption of this technology.
