The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is organising in-person engagement opportunities with relevant officials in the UK, as well as internationally with overseas businesses that supply the UK market.
These roundtables aim to ensure that the voices of all stakeholders, domestic and international, are reflected in our approach. Domestic roundtables will take place in Edinburgh, Manchester, Cardiff, and Birmingham in August, followed by a London roundtable in October.
The DBT recognise the significant role that international supply chains play in supporting the UK economy, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises. The DBT will therefore be hosting a series of international roundtables throughout September, to seek input from businesses across the supply chain. This will help them better understand the potential impacts of regulatory changes and identify opportunities to reduce friction and support growth.
Please use this form to register to attend a roundtable in Edinburgh, Manchester, Cardiff, Birmingham or London.
Please complete this form by Thursday 7 August.
To ensure as many stakeholders’ perspectives as possible are heard, we will only be able to provide space for one representative of each business or organisation. Please identify all the sessions that a representative from your business/organisation could attend. Once stakeholders have registered, the DBT will send a formal invitation to the person who completes this form to confirm attendance, with details of the venue, an agenda and questions to reflect on prior to the roundtable. You may then advise them who will be attending. As the focus of the roundtables is on regulation, the DBT is particularly seeking representatives who are involved in regulatory affairs, compliance, product safety, or supply chain management.
If the DBT is unable to accommodate all interested attendees, they will look to arrange further opportunities for input, including through virtual events.
Invitations for international roundtables will be sent out in due course.
