SUPORTING YOUR STEM JOURNEY
As a part of our commitment to supporting STEM subjects the MTA is offering financial support to qualifying TDI finalists to enable them to travel and attend the competition final.
You can apply for funding for up to 50% of your journey costs up to a maximum of £150.00 by filling out the application below:

Eligibility Criteria
- Funding is available only to TDI finalists who are enrolled at non-fee-paying educational institutions
- Groups travelling in the same private vehicle may only enter a single funding request
- Finalists from Northern Ireland and Scotland not eligible as separate competitions are run in these regions
Restrictions
- Covers only finalists travel cost, not accompanying adults/teachers
- Other ancillary costs such as subsistence and accommodation are not covered
- Only 50% of the total travel costs to a maximum of £150.00 will be reimbursed
Process
- Funding is not automatic: the Finalist must complete this application form prior to the stated deadline date and supply all necessary information in order for their application for reimbursement to be processed.
- Applications relating to public transport must include receipts
- Applications relating to travel in private vehicles will be calculated at the rate of £0.45/mile
