International Machine Tool & Manufacturing Technology Exhibition

The Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) are working with the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) to promote British companies at IMTEX 2023, from 19 – 25 January, 2023 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru. The MTA are recruiting UK companies to exhibit on a UK Pavilion which is open to both members and non members, and distributors/agents promoting UK products.

The flagship exhibition on machine tool and manufacturing technology is coming back after its last edition in 2019 since the pandemic hit the world and the industry had to miss the show in 2021.

IMTEX 2023 will be a comprehensive and highly focused show covering an exciting assemble of new-age technologies which have assumed a great importance in the current manufacturing landscape, since industries are bracing up to modernize their production capacities.

The concurrent exhibition, Tooltech 2023 will continue and showcase the world of Parts, Accessories and Systems for machine tools and manufacturing technology.

IMTEX 2023 will also feature “Digital Manufacturing” which will showcase a broad spectrum of technologies ranging from Digital Manufacturing to Cloud, Additive Manufacturing, Digital Factory, Industry 4.0 etc.

INDIA’S ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING SECTOR

Engineering and manufacturing is the highest growth sector in India and has emerged as the second most attractive manufacturing hub globally, taking over the second place from US.  Indian manufacturing could be worth USD1 trillion by 2025, rivalling China and the US as one of the world’s largest manufacturing sectors.

In 2018 the Indian Government launched the ‘Make in India’ version 2.0 aiming to stimulate growth and push growth of the manufacturing sector in India. The advanced manufacturing sector accounted for about 40 per cent of UK’s exports to India in 2016 valued at approx. £2.32 billion.

Key areas of opportunity for UK business: Advanced materials (Composites, Graphene, Newer alloys and nanotechnology), Industrial decarbonisation, Smart manufacturing, Green/sustainable manufacturing, Advanced metal forming technologies, Robotic and automations system, Additive manufacturing / 3D Printing, Material handling equipment and mining supply chain.

The MTA are working with the Department for International Trade who have offered to assist UK companies interested in exporting to India, grow their business, establish a presence or seek to forge partnerships.  DIT Manufacturing Teams are located in Calcutta, Chennai, Bangalore, New Delhi and Mumbai.
