Doing business with Europe has changed. The UK has left the Single Market and Customs Union, subsequently new rules now apply. From 1st January 2022 new UK import controls on most goods in UK-EU trade came into force and there is a growing number of reported delays.

You are invited to join us for our Make UK: New 2022 Custom Controls on Goods in UK-EU Trade for practical guidance to support you with the changes.

Imports from the EU will be subject to the same requirements as apply to goods imported from the rest of the world. Manufacturers must adhere to the guidance outlined in the UK Border Operating Model.

Book your place: Make UK: New 2022 Custom Controls on Goods in UK-EU Trade Registration, Wed 16 Feb 2022 at 12:00 | Eventbrite

This session is free to you and colleagues as Make UK Affiliate member organisations (make sure you have registered your affiliate membership here: affiliate membership enquiry | Make UK). The event will be held via Zoom and the link will be sent out upon registration.

Our webinar will provide guidance directly from the UK Government department responsible and from Make UK’s Customs Expert from their 30 years experience at HMRC. Both will be explaining what the requirements are from the 1st Jan 2022 and what steps you should be taking to prevent any issue and delay when trading with the EU.

You will leave with a broad overview of the policy and an understanding of the practical and technical implications for GB manufacturers. The session will conclude with an opportunity to ask questions of our expert panel.
