CECIMO have brought to our attention that, through an Order dated 13 November 2025, the Ministry of Heavy Industries has deferred the implementation of the Machinery and Electrical Equipment Safety (Omnibus Technical Regulation) Order, 2024 (see attached).
The Order postpones the previously notified enforcement date of 1 September 2026. No new implementation date has been communicated by the Ministry.
As a result, this postponement gives companies more time to study the technical details of this regulation, although it also introduces some uncertainty regarding the future timeline.
CECIMO have noted that they will continue to monitor this issue closely and will update you as soon as they have further information.
