We have split the economic news this week into two parts. The UK section covers the manufacturing output and monthly GDP numbers for November that were published this morning and also looks at the latest analysis of productivity data down to the industry level of the economy.  The other article has the latest industrial production figures for Europe (November) and the European Commission’s Economic Sentiment Index for December and takes a look at the November figures for the US machine tool and cutting tool markets.

The December edition of the MTA Business Survey will be closing next week but there is still time to let us have your input via the online form at www.mta.org.uk/mta-business-survey-dec21.  With thanks to those who have replied already, please try to spare a couple of minutes to participate – we would love to hear from you.

That’s all we have for this week’s Friday Brief so thank you all for keeping up to date with us! We hope you enjoy your weekend and we look forward to ‘seeing’ you again next week!
